TCP-Com
converts RS232 serial data to TCP/IP data and
TCP/IP data to serial. TCP-Com allows any of
the serial (RS232) ports on your PC to interface
directly to a TCP/IP network. This makes it
possible for any other computer on the network
to access the serial ports on the PC where
TCP-Com is running by connecting through a
TCP/IP port connection. In other words, it
pipes data from a COM port out over a TCP/IP
network port and vice versa.
TCP-Com
also has the ability to create virtual COM
ports that are actually connections to a
TCP/IP port. This allows you to use existing
serial communciation software to connect
to a TCP/IP port.
