Discover the power of TCP-Com, Ethernet to RS232 Converter, a versatile software tool designed for redirecting Ethernet data to real or virtual RS232 serial ports. Whether you require network data on a physical or virtual RS232 COM port, TCP-Com seamlessly converts Ethernet data to RS232 COM ports, even creating Virtual RS232 ports when needed.

Is your existing software* tailored to collect data from an RS232 COM port? TCP-Com is the solution for integrating data from devices across Ethernet, the Internet, or other networks. By directing network data to a Virtual COM port, your existing software effortlessly imports data, eliminating the need for a physical COM port.

*Examples of popular COM port software include Hospital Software, Hotel and Resort software, Laboratory Software (including LIMS), Manufacturing Software, Pharmaceutical Software, Modem Software, and all other Windows applications designed to collect data from PC COM ports.

TCP-Com creates virtual RS232 COM ports and redirects Ethernet, Internet, or network data to these ports. Easily use any existing RS232 COM port communication software to communicate over any TCP/IP network.

Other Usage Scenarios for TCP-Com
TCP-Com can easily redirect any TCP/IP network data to serial RS232 or, alternatively, serial data to network (Ethernet, Internet):
  • Share Devices over a Network: Use TCP-Com software as a PC-based Serial Device Server, making any serial device accessible on a network by attaching serial devices to your PC’s RS232 or USB ports. Serial devices include scales, balances, sensors, meters, gages, PLCs and other measuring instruments.
  • Feed RS232 COM port data to multiple PC apps or COM ports: Use TCP-Com as a virtual COM port splitter cable, bypassing Windows restrictions on accessing the same COM port from multiple applications.
  • Use an IP network as a giant RS232 cable
  • Open network COM ports as local COM ports
  • Map one network port to another network port
Additional Features
  • Advanced error recovery features for automatic repair of broken TCP/IP connections
  • Input data from up to 256 simultaneous COM ports
  • Input or output data with up to 10,000 TCP/IP connections as a client or server
  • Ability to connect to multiple clients as a TCP/IP server
  • Support for both UDP/IP and TCP/IP protocols
  • Support for up to 115Kb serial communications
  • Option to install TCP-Com as a Windows service
