HID-ScaleWedge is designed specifically for inexpensive postage, parcel and package scales that use the HID (human interface device) class specification. Most simple USB connected parcel and postage scales adhere to this HID specification, such as scales from…
NOTE: Most laboratory balances, industrial scales and check-weighers do not adhere to this specification and instead use either an RS232 (COM or USB port) or an Ethernet (TCP/IP port) interface. For these types of scales, you need TALtech’s WinWedge or WinWedge Pro software.
HID-ScaleWedge displays a list of all USB-HID scales connected to your PC.
Choose a hotkey (i.e. the ‘F9’ key). that will trigger a data transfer every time you press it.
HID-ScaleWedge also has the option to automatically add keystrokes before or after your weight data to move your mouse cursor for you. You may also select the format for your weight data.
Your weight data will automatically populate Excel, Access, Shipping software or any Windows application that has the input focus when you press your configured hotkey.
I never thought it would take less than 15 minutes to get WinWedge collecting data from my instruments.. I have not been this satisfied with a software product in years.
